What this role will do:
Lead and Manage the Product Design TeamOversee a team of Industrial Designers and Product Designers, ensuring that design quality, project efficiency, and cost objectives are met while adhering to deadlines.Enhance Cross-Functional CollaborationPromote closer collaboration between design, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure a holistic approach to product development.Optimize the Design Review ProcessFacilitate design reviews by educating the team on production costs, manufacturing constraints, and product outcomes to ensure efficient and effective design solutions.Support Research and InnovationLeverage user research, usability testing, and brainstorming sessions to drive innovation, ensuring designs meet customer needs and industry trends.
Experience Needed:
5+ Years of Experience in a Related Design RoleProven experience in product design, with a strong understanding of design processes, creativity, and innovation within the consumer goods industry or a similar field.Supervisory ExperienceAt least 2 years of experience managing and leading design teams, including providing one-on-one support, overseeing project reviews, and managing deadlines effectively.Experience with Overseas Manufacturing OperationsHands-on experience working directly with international manufacturing partners, particularly in managing production costs, manufacturing limitations, and design outcomes.
