Description
Amazon is seeking an intuitive, high-judgment, self-motivated, and creative communications professional to join our AWS World-Wide Public Sector (WWPS) front office as the Senior Internal Business Communications Manager.
The Senior Internal Business Communications Manager is responsible for developing effective internal business communication strategies to keep our employees and customers informed, engaged, and aligned with the company's vision, values, and objectives. Key areas include internal communications content creation and curation, internal business channel management, and maintenance of resources used across internal communications teams. This role owns the WWPS center of excellence for internal business communications.
This role will proactively build trust and maintain strong, cross-functional relationships with key internal stakeholders (Public Relations, Marketing, Public Policy, IDE, Global Executive Relationship team, etc.) to create and distribute compelling business content across multiple platforms, fostering a culture of open and transparent communication.
Key job responsibilities
Develop and execute a strategic and innovative internal business communication plan for WWPS
Manage complex, fast-moving, and unexpected business communications challenges with an ability to look around corners for risk
Manage all WWPS business internal communication channels, analyze channel metrics, and make data-driven adjustments to optimize communications
Own WWPS sales leadership messaging and content repository, ensuring it aligns to business goals and trends
Write, review, and manage business-specific email communications, updates, change announcements, leadership messaging, and ad hoc communications
Draft and curate content for internal business newsletters, Slack channels, and other platforms
Be the employee experience advocate, representing and protecting this through all strategies and decision-making
Serve as an internal business communications subject matter expert and resource for the wider WWPS organization; share tools and content with the WWPS Sales Areas
Exercise extremely high judgment, particularly in narrow timeframes
Roll up sleeves and get work done, even when at times it’s outside the scope of the job.

Basic Qualifications
15 years of recent professional communications experience
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field
Experience with a national or global company
Excellent writing, editing, and content creation skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, concise, and engaging messaging
Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
Proficiency in using various communication channels and platforms
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful internal communication strategies and campaigns
Solid understanding of change management principles and the ability to help employees navigate organizational changes
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
Experience being a trusted advisor to senior leadership and influencing executive communications
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Outstanding attention to detail, understanding of technology, and ability to communicate complex topics effectively
Experience using communication platforms and analytics tools to measure and improve performance
Proficiency in graphic design, video editing, or other multimedia content creation
Understanding of best practices in employee engagement and organizational culture
Experience executing highly successful, creative, and complex communications plans
Adaptable and willing to pivot quickly to meet emerging demands
