Position Summary:
Enesco is seeking a creative product designer to join their Department 56 division in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Our ideal teammate will be a collaborative and visionary artist desirable of working in retail and giftware product design who can continue the quality and aesthetic of our legacy brands while innovating the giftware brands of tomorrow.
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
Brainstorm current line extensions and new product designs.
Craft trend-appropriate stories to support design and product recommendations.
Produce concept drawings suitable for presentation to management and licensors.
Design products respectful of licensor style guides and contract limitations.
Create finished artwork and tech packs that can be used for sculpting.
Review, critique, and approve clay sculpts for product integrity.
Work closely with brand management to deliver products on time and on budget.
Be accountable for your designs from concept through production.
Recommend presentation and merchandising concepts to brand management.

Experience, Competencies, and Education:
Demonstrated fluency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Proficiency with email, Internet, and office software.
Skill to visually communicate ideas through sketch.
Ability to write clear and concise product direction.
Passion for architectural design and/or seasonal product design.
Experience designing for mass retail or giftware environments is a plus.
Experience working with licensed content is a plus.
Experience working as part of an in-house design team is also a plus.
A bachelor's degree is preferred but will be waived for equivalent experience.
