The Education (EDU), State & Local (SLG), Education & Government Technology (XTech) field marketing team is seeking an experienced, results oriented event marketer to execute demand generation events hosted by AWS and third party organizations (3P).
The position plays a key role at AWS-hosted, large scale in-person events, such as re:Invent, AWS Summit, and AWS IMAGINE, creating the vision and managing EDU, SLG, and XTech field marketing’s involvement; owns the event strategy and execution for AWS-hosted regionally event specifically targeting EDU, SLG, and XTech customers; manages event strategy and execution at the largest EDU, SLG, and XTech industry 3P events - delighting customers and elevating the AWS brand critical for growth.
A successful candidate will be highly organized, analytical, excel at managing and influencing broad stakeholder groups, able to work effectively in a complex organization, and adept at synthesizing a variety of inputs into a successful event. This role requires synergy and influence with many teams across AWS.
Key job responsibilities
• Strategy developing, managing, and executing the end-to-end plans for in person event, AWS-host and 3P, and key components of field-led event programs with AWS large scale events.
• Defining the goals of each program, manage the budget and timeline, develop demand generation strategy, outlining roles and responsibilities across stakeholder, and oversee a variety of vendors and venue partners to ensure all stakeholders are working together to deliver a high-quality customer experience.
• Providing detailed and clear ROI reports on events and activities associated with executed programs.
• Utilizing exceptional communication skills to collaborate across stakeholder groups on event intake briefs, plans, and post-event debriefs

Basic Qualifications
6+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
7+ years of developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs experience
Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages
Preferred Qualifications
Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners
Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.
