Position Description 3T InnovationsJob Title: AV Technician VIIDepartment: Service OperationsLabor Category: IT Technician VIIRevision Date: 7/22/2023FLSA: Full Time (FTE)Position OverviewAs a Lead AV Integration Specialist, you will be entrusted with specific tasks assigned by your supervisor to enhance your technical proficiency and expertise continuously. This dynamic role entails being prepared for local travel at short notice to provide support and conduct repair-type activities. We are looking for someone to work primarily in the Pan Handle region of Florida. Additionally, you will travel to various locations for planned installation and maintenance endeavors.In this position, you will engage in both direct observation and self-directed learning to build a deep understanding of the designated technology and original equipment manufacturer equipment. Your extensive experience encompasses system implementation, network node and element deployment, comprehensive training, and adept fault isolation and repair within the realm of information technology systems, subsystems, and equipment.As a skilled installation and fielding technician, you will operate across various communications and information technology systems. Your capabilities extend to effectively coordinating communication requisites through electronic or paper formats to initiate gateway access requirements. Your commitment to technical excellence and your ability to adapt swiftly will contribute significantly to the seamless functioning of our AV systems.Essential Job FunctionsTask Completion: Diligently execute billable tasks assigned by your supervisor. Your commitment to these tasks ensures the smooth progress of projects and installations.Technical Interpretation: Proficiently read and interpret technical drawings. Utilize these drawings as a foundation for executing installations, ensuring accurate placement of cables and equipment.Inventory Management: Maintain a well-organized inventory of equipment within your designated bag. This ensures ready access to necessary tools and components during installations and maintenance actions.Installation and Maintenance Support: Provide expert support for installations, maintenance actions, and support interventions. Your assistance will encompass both on-site and remote interactions, aiding clients with technical inquiries and troubleshooting. You will work with leading manufacturers such as Crestron, BIAMP, Shure, AMX, Cisco, and Planar to ensure optimal system functionality.Certification Attainment: Obtain and uphold critical certifications, including CTS (Certified Technology Specialist), Security+, Network+, and any other AV certifications that are assigned. These certifications validate your expertise and demonstrate your commitment to professional growth.RequirementsAbility to travel to multiple locations within the Tampa area (Tarpon Springs, Tampa, New Tampa) and outside the local area as assigned by the supervisorAbility to maintain a security clearance (Minimum - Secret)Ability to learn new technologies and equipment as assignedAbility to check email and answer phone callsAccess to a vehicle for local transportationExcellent verbal and written communicationAbility to clearly communicate issues and challengesIn-depth knowledge of Microsoft operating system and business toolsOther Skills/AbilitiesComplete knowledge of the English languageInternet and phone accessVehicle to travel to local office meetingsTerminate and install Cat 5e,6,7 and fiber optic cable.NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
