Overview
First Citizens is seeking an experienced program manager to help drive key programs during this exciting time of integration and expansion for the bank. This position is responsible for the leadership and management of programs across the Bank. Oversees the complex, strategic coordination of multiple projects within an initiative in order to achieve business goals, including management of overall scope, cost, staffing, and performance. Evaluates program effectiveness and delivers tactical insight through reporting to senior management and other key stakeholders.Responsibilities
Program Management - Develops, implements, and evaluates all aspects of assigned programs including sub-projects and related initiatives. Manages planning, schedule, resources, and risk. Ensures quality and compliance, implementing corrective action where necessary, to ensure cohesion between individual projects and the overall program. Communicates key performance indicators and program metrics to the appropriate parties, produces management-level reporting on a regular basis.Business Strategy - Collaborates with business units and senior executives to understand Bank needs, aligning the goals and purpose of projects to wider strategic objectives. Develops cases to outline and justify program-level initiatives in accordance with organizational planning.Strategy Implementation - Operationalizes program in a way that is repeatable and scalable, including any needed documentationRelationship Development - Develops influential relationships with vendors, business leaders, and other key stakeholders in support of program success. Oversees vendor selection, negotiations, issues resolution, and ongoing relationship management for assigned initiatives.Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Project management or Program management OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Project management or Program managementHighly organized and can balance many projects a one timeAbility to articulate program strategy, progress, successes and challenges effectively for a variety of audiences - from senior management to junior associatesStrong relationship builder and collaboratorProven written and verbal communications skills and attention to detailStrong project management skills; ability to manage multiple, complex projects or campaigns simultaneouslyAbility to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlinesFinancial Services experience requiredMarketing experience preferredKnowledge of Salesforce CRM system, Marketo, Optimizely, Seismic a plusLicense or Certification Type: PMP certification Preferred, PgMP certification PreferredIf hired in IL, the base pay for this position is generally between $127,000 and $180,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.First Citizens benefits programs are designed to meet our associates where they are in life.
