Lead 3D Designer – NIKE, Inc., Beaverton, OR. Design by driving digital creation from ideation to manufacturing through all design phases; use digital tools to enable the creation of innovative concepts and designs that appropriately reflect Nike’s design philosophy; build and present assets that effectively communicate design intent to a variety of audiences; work under the Digital Product Creation Organization while focusing on 3D Design for Footwear; collaborate with other members of the design team including product, materials and computational designers as part of a creative collective on each project; utilize 3D Design techniques, emerging tools and technologies, and knowledge of product creation; utilize technical skills to determine aesthetic and functional design solutions and help overcome design challenges; develop and manage operational initiatives to deliver tactical results; provide direction and mentorship to teammates; and model, visualize and prep models for 3D printing. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.

Master’s degree in Architecture, Design, or Computational and Advanced Design and Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or designer related occupation.

Experience must include:

Rhino NURBS modelling and Rhino SubDmodeling

Computational design with Grasshopper

Procedural modeling and simulation with Houdini

Polygonal modeling with Maya

Sculpting with ZBrush

Rendering with VRay

Design Development and Manufacturing

VR with Unreal Engine

C# programming

3D printing
