About the team

As a Creative Director (Social-Led and Culture-First), you will be at the forefront of crafting Zillow's social and cultural presence through impactful concepts and thumb-stopping content. You'll lead in setting the tone of voice and vision for how Zillow shows up across digital touchpoints, from social media to experiential events. Working closely across teams, you'll drive business growth, position Zillow as a cultural leader, and innovate award-winning work that resonates with our audience.

About the role

We are seeking a leader that embodies the following;

Culture-First Creativity: Staying ahead of trends and developing resonate work for the target audience. Develop and implement creative strategies that are deeply rooted in insights and trends.

Social Media Expertise: Demonstrate a depth of understanding of platforms and standard processes. Drive a social-first approach to marketing, using emerging technologies to build engaging and innovative content.

Leadership and Influence: Significant leadership experience in-house and agency settings or with large complex brands, capable of leading by example, fostering a positive work environment, and encouraging a culture of collaborative innovation.

Innovative Thinking: You religiously follow design, video, style, and culture trends, and have the necessary context to think unconventionally and deliver creativity.

Strategic Acumen: Deep understanding of marketing strategy, voice, art direction and branding with the ability to meet and exceed the unexpressed needs of partners through insightful proposals and critical thinking.

Creative Excellence: Maintain the highest standards of creative excellence throughout the entire creative process, including redirects, refinements and well versed in both art direction, design and copywriting.

Exceptional communication skills: adept at inspiring teams, selling creative concepts persuasively through well-designed, strategically sound presentation decks, and maintaining internal relationships.

Coaching and Positive Impact: Strong capabilities in coaching and helping team members grow, with a passion for spreading joy and a positive attitude in the workplace.

Knowledge: You possess in-depth knowledge of industry and social standard processes and regulations in experiential marketing and design. You are well-versed in proven approaches to engage audiences through innovative experiences.

Innovation and Experimentation: Continuously explore new trends and technologies to stay ahead of the curve and deliver innovative content.

Team Mentor: Inspire and mentor a team of versatile creatives, encouraging a culture of innovation and collaboration. Lead with empathy, understanding the needs and perspectives of both the team and our audience.

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $139,800.00 - $223,200.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

  • A consistent track record of successful and boundary-pushing, culturally relevant executions, as well as award-winning work.

  • Shown experience with both brand-side and agency-side, in creative leadership roles, with a focus on social media and culture-driven campaigns.

  • Immersed in social media platforms, algorithms, and methodologies.

  • Ability to identify and use cultural trends, subcultures and social movements.

  • Strong storytelling skills and ability to create audience engaging content.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated campaigns.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Passion for staying up-to-date on industry trends and new technologies.
