Responsibilities: Responsible for the daily management of the audiovisual service requests and staff to ensure effective delivery of media services. Oversees the process of audiovisual and lighting equipment set up, take down and technical support for university-approved events and facilities. Maintains comprehensive technical knowledge of audio, video, projection, and lighting equipment, installation and troubleshooting. Provides training for staff and student workers on sound and multimedia technology installation. Maintains accurate inventory of audiovisual equipment. Will require some varied hours and weekends during high-volume periods.
Minimum Requirements:
* Must be an active and committed Christian who will support the University's mission and who will be an active participant in their local church.* A high school diploma or GED is required. An Associate's degree from an accredited university in an audio/visual or technology related field is preferred.* A minimum of one (1) year experience in audiovisual and multimedia equipment set up and support in an employment, commercial, educational or similar environment is required, to include the operation of audio consoles and video cameras.* Proficiency with audio mixing is strongly preferred.* Experience with DMX lighting systems, Creston A/V systems, Dante systems, and video editing software is preferred.* Supervisory experience is preferred.* Competency in Microsoft Office for Windows applications (word processing, database, spreadsheet, e-mail, presentation graphics, etc.) is required.* Proficiency in general office equipment operation is required.* Must possess exceptional time management and detail-orientation skills.* Must possess a current and valid Texas driver's license and be insurable under UMHB auto policy.* Must agree to the University's Employee Statement of Understanding.
