The local New York radio station, WXNY 96.3, is looking for an On-Air Talent to join our team!
We are seeking someone that is energetic, interactive, and will engage with the audience across digital platforms and social media. You must have passion for our brand, inform, entertain, and engage listeners in the New York area.
YOUR DAY-DAY:
Responsible for creating, writing, and delivering creative elements on-air, including attention-grabbing topics/issues for the showContact, book, and interview relevant guests.Research, prepare and deliver content about current local, national, and international news.Discuss various topics with listeners over the telephone.Provide commentary and conduct interviews during "Live" transmissions, and other events.Broadcast live from remote locations. Act as host and/or make promotional appearances at public or private events representing the Station.Follow designated show formatContribute appropriate, in-brand content for our digital platforms.Perform activities which will include producing content for Univision websites and Social Media pages and promoting various company accountsResearch information as requested for showCreate bits and/or stunts to be used during their show, as appropriateAir music as scheduled and as provided by the Content DirectorAir all liners, promos and commercials as loggedEstablish a strong and effective relationship with the station's Sales team and clients.Operate system board efficiently, including making necessary stop breaks and timely announcements, including sponsorships and name mentionsCreative production and editing of commercials (voiceovers) for clients and station as directed by Production ManagerMeets with clients when necessary to prepare commercials on and off siteFollow contest rules and station rules regarding station contestsAlways maintain compliance with FCC regulations, including awareness of prohibited language on-airParticipation and involvement within the communityDrive to events/remotes and other special occasions, as neededOther duties as deemed necessaryYOU HAVE:
High School Diploma; Bachelor's Degree preferred.At least 3 years of On-Air Radio experience.Passion for Music is a MUSTProficiency in usage of social media platforms. Computer literate.Excellent public speaking skills and ability to interact with listeners and clients in a public setting.Impeccable diction and excellent pronunciation in Spanish.Excellent ability to speak, read and write Spanish and EnglishAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekendsKnowledge of Microsoft Office/Outlook software packagesKnowledge of programming and production software (i.e. Zetta, Audition, Console Production, Collateral Hardware, and Music Master)Excellent interpersonal skillsEnthusiastic, dedicated, and self-motivatedGreat problem solving and organizational skillsA valid driver's license, adequate transportation for driving and a good driving recordAvailability to travel out of city, state and country
