This key role involves managing event email campaigns, analyzing event marketing campaign performance, and ensuring our communications efforts directly contribute to event attendance and engagement. As the Senior Communications Specialist, you will work cross-functionally to plan, draft, and execute communications plans that drive business results. Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the overall copywriting process for the Corporate Events team, ensuring our member-firm-focused content is inspiring, intelligent, and reinforces our key messages and brand identity.

This position is responsible for writing and editing high-impact Corporate Event content, managing multiple editorial and content projects, and meeting tight deadlines. Additionally, you will assist with internal communications and social media posts to ensure consistency in messaging and alignment with broader corporate goals, helping to foster collaboration and information-sharing across teams. With a keen, well-researched awareness of M's unique audience, you will provide strategic input into Corporate Events content, channel, timing, and delivery.

You will collaborate with the Sr. Manager, Content & Communication, to oversee and report on the performance of the entire project or specific scopes, considering resource management, time management, cost management, and other relevant factors for all events and projects assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communications Planning and Strategy

Develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies for M's annual and bi-annual Signature Events, ensuring alignment with business objectives and audience preferences. This includes, but is not limited to, developing the event theme, planning and executing email campaigns, collaborating on social media strategies, supporting content development, and ensuring timely delivery of each piece.Develop and implement internal communications strategies for M's employee events, including a holiday party, a summer social, and several on-site events throughout the year.Optimize all event communications deliverables to ensure a premium user experience.Collaborate with the marketing team, including Digital Content, Events, and Design services, to align social media, brand development, the corporate website, and corporate events with integrated communication strategies.Writing, Proofreading, and Editing

Write, proofread, and edit a wide range of communication materials for M's Signature Events. Deliverables include, but are not limited to: emails, website and app content, videos, brochures, postcards, guidebooks, FAQs, travel preparation information, survey and form copy, session descriptions, speaker bios, environmental branding, event social media, scripts, newsletters, etc.Ensure all written materials are clear, compelling, and consistent with M Financials' tone and style guidelines.Oversee the quality assurance process for all communications, rigorously proofreading and editing content to ensure accuracy, coherence, and alignment with company messaging.Support the development and delivery of employee communications, including messages regarding organizational updates, development opportunities, technology updates, procedural changes, and weather-related office closures.QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.Minimum 4-6 years of professional experience in corporate communications, with a strong focus on writing, proofreading, and editing for a business audience.Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a portfolio demonstrating a range of high-quality communications.Experience in the financial services industry is preferred.Strong strategic thinking and communications planning abilities, particularly for events.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, working under tight deadlines with keen attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with communications analytics tools.'COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
