The Microsoft Game Content and Studios organization empowers Xbox Game Studios (XGS) to do their best work creating incredible worlds their players love. This group of studios includes Turn10 Studios, Halo, Compulsion Games, The Coalition, The Initiative, Double Fine, Obsidian Entertainment, Rare, Playground Games, inXile Entertainment, Ninja Theory, Publishing, World’s Edge, and Undead Labs.
The Chief of Staff will be a member of the Xbox Game Studios Leadership team directly supporting the Vice President, Head of Xbox Game Studios. This individual is responsible for organization-wide effectiveness including strategic planning and management, organizational priorities, leadership rhythm of business, internal/external communications, and strategic programs and initiatives to ensure leadership and organization alignment. This individual will be a trusted partner to the VP, their leadership team, and key stakeholders across Microsoft Gaming.

Responsibilities
Drive strategic planning and operation execution
Responsible for organization-wide effectiveness, including leadership rhythm of business (ROB), internal and external communications, organizational priorities, strategic planning and management, strategic programs and initiatives, meetings and events, and leadership budgets.
Partner with the XGS (Xbox Gaming Studios) Leadership Team to unite teams across shared objectives enabling the success of our gaming strategy.
Work with General Managers of Development and Business, and other key stakeholders to maintain a cohesive view of priorities and focus areas for Head of XGS.
Partner with Chiefs of Staff in XGS, Game Content and Studios, and cross-org on strategy, communications, planning and execution.
*Support the Head of Xbox Game Studios *
Extend the leader’s reach while developing relationships with key staff and partners, communicate the leader’s strategy, provide clarity to stakeholders, and identify gaps/opportunities.
Maximize the use and effectiveness of the leader’s time to drive progress towards business priorities.
Partner as a thought leader and discussion partner for important and strategic decisions.
Drive cross-team projects to meet the changing business environment and to manage complex business needs.
*Organizational Health *
Align with the People strategy for the organization and understand the current organizational culture. Support and activate the Gaming D&I (Diversity & Inclusion) plan through strategic oversight and coordination, while partnering closely with other key stakeholders who strategize and manage the implementation of programs. Lead culture initiatives inclusive of diverse perspectives and backgrounds, support inclusive hiring approaches, and provide a safe place where everyone feels a sense of belonging.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years of experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources or business-related roles
OR equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience providing support to senior executives in a chief of staff role or similar capacity.
Required Qualifications:
Background in the gaming or entertainment industry
Previous experience within the Microsoft Gaming organization and understands the complexity of game studio management within Microsoft.
Motivated, project-oriented, self-starter with the ability to transform challenging business problems into tangible action plans.
Proven capabilities in positions requiring cross-group collaboration, creativity and change management leadership.
Communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Ability to contribute consistently and positively in a high-paced, fast-changing work environment.
Results oriented team player who leads by example and holds themselves accountable for performance, takes ownership and champions all aspects of our business.
Analytical thinker with a growth mindset and flexibility to accommodate evolving business needs.
Business Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.
