Support and manage a variety of editing and proofreading projects in collaboration with cross-functional, global teams. Embrace the company's mission and offerings to best recommend and execute appropriate communication tools and messaging.Key Responsibilities:Assist with editing and developing product and procedural messaging for websites, collateral, tradeshows, advertising campaigns, videos and social media.Proofread clinical education curricula, including didactics, procedural guides and instructional videos.Support internal communications initiatives through editing and proofreading various communication materials and by providing guidance on effective communications channels.Build relationships and collaborate with internal departments to better understand each team and help identify communication needs and opportunities for varying audiences.Support internal "customers" with editing counsel based on writing and grammar expertise.Performance Objectives:Within 30 days:
Familiarize yourself with departmental processes, systems and procedures.Get acquainted with Corporate Communications internal customers and projects.Complete several foundational courses to learn about Applied Medicals mission, vision and culture.Participate in weekly team meetings and begin initial project work.
Within 60 days:
Exhibit a strong understanding of the role and responsibilities.Collaborate with internal customers on writing and editing projects.Assist the Corporate Communications team with a variety of assignments.Complete at least three writing or editing projects, varying in length, to help achieve company goals.
After 90 days to one year:
Lead meetings with internal customers to discover a projects focus and needs.Take ownership of assigned projects from inception to completion.Give a presentation to the Corporate Communications team on an assigned topic.Provide process improvement feedback to ensure an efficient and effective workflow.Possess a strong understanding of Applied Medical's products and the types of surgery they are used in.

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsExceptional proofreading, editing and copywriter skillsPassion for writing clear and effective messagingAbility to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with multiple levels of project input and approvalAptitude for asking questions in order to distill complex concepts into digestible information for various audiencesIntimate knowledge of proper grammar and AP styleStrong attention to detailAbility to partner effectively with various internal teams and team membersA customer service focus and a flexible, solution-oriented mindsetStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage several priorities concurrentlyDemonstrated interpersonal skills and professionalismA bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English or related fieldAt least three years of corporate communications or related work experiencePreferred:Previous experience in healthcare a plusBenefits:
