Description

Position Purpose:

To support the delivery process World Outreach (AWM and Charis) broadcast and digital media files to various outlets, television networks, streaming platforms, external distribution partners with the highest quality, integrity and excellence. To support the ingestion, file taxonomy, proper naming and storage of valuable World Outreach multimedia content. To support all audio/video digital media files as it relates to archiving, computing, and technology equipment for the World Outreach Translations Department.

Essential Duties:Manage and operate technical workflows for the scheduling, file conversion, transcoding, media transfers, syndication and trafficking of all digital media material required for broadcast delivery, performing quality assurance tests on all transcoded files to maintain accuracy and reliability, and meeting all delivery deadlines.Prepares the AWM and Charis broadcast- quality digital media files before creation of digital master exports, transcoding media to editable broadcast-ready formats and correct frame rates, checking English subtitles and closed captioning requirements.Produces media formats of English and Translated media for dubbing, local and remote viewing, and distribution to other departments in the Ministry as neededBack up all incoming media following established operating procedures.Retrieve and transfer media files as requested.Operate Renaming Software based on established naming convention and follow archiving and formatting guidelines for recorded media.Generate and edit SOP / workflow charts.Support digital media file capturing, encoding, tagging, and metadata route mapping to establish a successful centralized library of easily obtainable multimedia filesStays attuned with industry best practices, networks and builds relationships with other technology partners, suggests innovative solutions and guidance related to equipment and asset management processes. Continually upgrades knowledge and learns new technologies and processes.Prepare International Translation files, master exports, and media manage projects. Transcode media to the required formats and correct frame rates, checking version and specification requirements. Ensure successful and timely delivery of all assets requested.Other duties as necessary or assigned.Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of computers, especially Apple equipment is highly desiredExperienced with media management systems and postproduction processesAble to demonstrate understanding of aspect ratios, frame rates, and formats required for television and digital streaming environmentsused in SD, HD, and 4K environments, and emerging standards.Experienced with digital delivery systems such as FTP servers, AWS, Next Cloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, WeTransfer, and related cloud storage services.Experienced with broadcast transcoding, encoding, and editing software, especially with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Media Encoder, Encore, Photoshop, and Microsoft OfficeAbility to work independently with tight deadlines; able to identify, prioritize, and solve complex technology problemsExcellent attention to detail, multitasking, and planning skillsAble to work in a fast-paced team environmentExcellent writing and verbal skillsRequirements:

Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.Must sign the Statement of Faith.A high school diploma or equivalent education is requiredCharis Bible College student or graduate is preferredKnowledge of the AWM and Charis media content preferredMust be flexible and responsible to assist The World Outreach Translations and Media Department with technical and critical systemsMust pass a background checkExperience:

Experience with broadcast traffic operations and familiarity with television industry standards, technical workflows, and post-production processes is essential.Broadcast traffic operations and/or computer science, information technology experience desirable.Compensation is commensurate with experience.
