Baltimore-based Stansberry Research is looking for a dilligent
Managing Editor
to join our Editorial Team. In this role, you will collaborate to ensure the accurancy and consistency of all our Company's publications. The mission is to deliver error free and high-quality editorial content to the Companys customer base to maintain and grow the subscriber base across various media sources.Responsibilities:Collaborate with the Executive Editor, Assistant Managing Editor, and Production Specialist, and Proofreader teams to produce and deliver articles of interest that are of the highest possible quality, consistent with company standards and which appeal to our readershipSkillfully review editorial content, making decisions on improvements and enhancements to include language and substanceCompose email blurbs and other supporting materials for assigned publications by evaluating the recommendation and synthesizing it for dissemination to subscribers.Change identified errors in facts, data, text, and tone. Verify hyperlinks and references in every publication reviewedCollaborate cross-functionally with assistant managing editors and production team to ensure consistency of brand messaging and appearanceKeep up-to-date with current market trends through independent research on relevant and reliable sources within the investment industryOwn creative/technical web-layout functions including coding in HTML and utilizing WordPressPartner on additional strategic projects within the editorial, production, and layout teamsQualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Journalism, English or related field is highly desired3-5 years of experience on an editorial team for dynamic publicationsExceptional demonstrated grammar, writing, and editorialAbility to work very independently and complete tasks and assignments with little supervisionExtremely sharp eye for detailHigh level of self-direction and a strong work ethicAbility to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to execute under tight production deadlines as determined by editorial scheduleAbility to work collaboratively within editorial and production teamAbility to adapt to company-specific tasks and workflow and become an expert on company-specific style preferencesAdvanced math skills to include calculating percentage changes and other data claimed within publicationsAbout Stansberry Research:
