The Communications Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Communications Department with all aspects of Public Relations, Community Relation, Advertising, Interactive Marketing, and Creative Development.Responsibilities:Where You'll Make an Impact:
Uses independent decision making and discretion in:Meeting with third party account executives regarding advertising opportunitiesCoordinating with all departments on all tournaments, promotions, parties, special events to produce coupons, brochures, posters, signage, invitations, and advertising.Creating internal communications, such as Newsletters, PowerPoint presentations, etc.Creating and ordering printing jobs, such as business cards, signs, and posters.Bidding out jobs and selecting vendors.Opening jobs and creating work orders with advertising agencies.Direct assistance to the Communications Director on projects and assignments, including corporate initiatives in other gaming jurisdictions.Working cooperatively with the Communications Team to assure that Maryland Live! Casino communicates effectively with our internal and external customers.Other duties as assigned.Skills to Help You Succeed:Ability to solve complex problems.Ability to perform assigned duties under pressures.A variety of task and deadlines requires irregular work schedule.Ability to perform assigned duties in an interruptive environment.Accuracy in completing assigned duties in a timely manner.Ability to work in an office environment.
Qualifications:Must-Haves:Bachelor's degree in business administration, advertising, marketing, communications or related field preferred or equivalent work experienceYou will be exposed to an alcohol and smoking environment and must be able to work in such an environment.Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Louisiana Gaming Control Board or any other applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Lives operating standards.Physical Requirements :Ability to work in an environment where smoking is allowedAbility to lift and carry up to 25 poundsMust be able to stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to walk up and down stairs several times a day.
