General Function

Reporter will be responsible for pitching story ideas, setting up stories, conducting interviews and writing packages to be aired on Carolina Impact and other WTVI productions/videos as assigned.Duties and Responsibilities

1. Develops leads and conducts research to produce content for multimedia.2. Conducts interviews and coordinates shooting of b-roll for long form content.3. Logs interviews and writes for the station's newsmagazine show and documentaries.4. Writes summary of broadcast packages for station website and social media.5. Writes and produces interstitials and other content as needed.6. Capable of shooting b-roll and interviews for stories if a photographer is not available for a shoot.7. Other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements and Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of related experienceAdditional Information

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:Professional in all contacts with the public for stories airing on WTVI as well as CPCC staff and itsstakeholdersAbility to perform basic computer operating skillsMust be a quick thinker, capable of doing standups and teases for TVAble to find alternative ways to obtain video or interviews for stories when obstacles arise

Working Conditions: Typical Office Environment; some lifting, bending, twisting, climbing and carrying up to 40lbs; Standing,walking, sitting and traveling may required
