The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies is looking for a Public Relations Analyst to support our government customer located in Arlington, Virginia. This position can be telework.
Promote or create an intended public image (brand/reputation) for individuals, groups, or organizations to support the Government. This position is high-paced with many small projects ongoing.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Promote or create an intended public image (brand/reputation) for individuals, groups, or organizations to support the Government.
+ Write or recommend material for release to various communications media to support the Government .
+ Provide social media expertise.
+ Organize and schedule conferences and events.
+ Provide corporate communications and public affairs support for the assigned Government organization.
+ Provide support for corporate communications, to include public affairs and community relations for the assigned Government organization.
+ Developing and recommending communications strategies for the assigned Government organization. Examples of communication strategies involve engaging with Industry in support of the Governments initiatives to foster fair and open competition and to solicit potential business opportunities.
+ Preparing, updating, maintaining, and implementing communication plans proactively in accordance with standards and best practices.
+ Preparing, updating, maintaining, and implementing media relations plans as directed by the Government, which address media opportunities to proactively engage the media on program developments and respond to emerging issues.
+ Coordinating media relations with the designated PAO (or designated Government Lead). In support of this requirement, the Contractor shall never act as, or speak on behalf of the Government.
+ Provide support for publications, electronic media, and public websites for the assigned Government organization.
+ Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
Bachelors Degree plus 3 years experience.
(Substitution: Associates Degree plus 4 years of additional relevant work experience, total = 7 yrs)
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
+ Excellent oral and written skills.
+ Excellent organizational skills.
+ Excellent project management skills.
+ Excellent time management skills.
+ Ability to work independently and as a team member.
+ Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS, and Outlook
+ Basic skills in Microsoft Publisher and web conferencing (e.g. Zoom and WebEx).
+ Pre-production video skills.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
+ Must be a U.S. Citizen.
+ Active SECRET clearance required.
