Ateema Media & Marketing, a Chicago visitor marketing company, is looking for bright, energetic,
hard-working students who are interested in writing for Concierge Preferred Magazine and www.conciergepreferred.com.
Interns will work in tandem with the editors to assist in creating the best visitor-related articles in the Chicago market. Specifically, our interns will contribute to the magazine plus online products including the website, weekly newsletters and blogs.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), be highly organized, totally in-tune with digital media, and possess a keen desire to excel with and learn from a team of hard-working, fun people who love what they do. This position is heavy on content creation and distribution so the ability to adapt writing style to meet Ateema's editorial style, tone, and brand-across all of our platforms-is imperative.
We are looking for smart, energetic college students that possess a willingness to work hard and want to learn the skills that will get them the real-world experience they need to kick-start their professional careers (while having fun along the way). You'll work hard, gain invaluable experience, and be a trusted team member that contributes to the editorial and marketing side of the company.
You will learn how to:
Update a website via a content management system (Word Press) To copy edit like a pro Navigate analytics, SEO and other online tools that boost site traffic and ensure your content is found Be a part of the editorial process and be involved from the ground-up in putting together a magazine Heavily contribute to social media platforms on a professional level in an authentic way while maintaining brand integrity Become an expert on what's happening in the Chicago travel, tourism, visitor marketing, concierge & hospitality industry Build effective email marketing campaigns and gain experience tracking analytics, A/B testing, et al. Assist at some of our industry events and trade shows
To apply, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student who has completed one or more years of college. We require a minimum of 15-20 hours per week, occasionally in the Chicago office. Times and days vary depending on class/work schedules. We are happy to complete any forms to help you comply with school credit needs given this is an unpaid position.
