Your Role
Gensler Seattle's Brand Design team is a collaborative team of designers, strategists, and storytellers that engages with a wide variety of clients on projects of all sizes-from environmental graphics and campus signage systems and to identity and brand strategy work. As Gensler experience designers, we help our clients tell their unique stories effectively via every channel available in today's diverse media landscape, with a focus on spatial design and visual communications design. Our approach combines design and architectural expertise with a unique point of view and strong communication skills. Your Role
Gensler's Seattle office is seeking a junior level
Brand Designer . This position focuses on the design, documentation and implementation of graphic design, environmental graphic design and signage projects. The candidate has a strong understanding of 3D graphic design and detailing, integrating concepts into built environments. The ideal candidate will be adept in ideation and concepting as well as technical skills from design development through documentation and fabrication coordination. This individual will work on teams comprised of interdisciplinary designers, across multiple project types (retail, workplace, mixed-use, corporate campus, education, aviation and architecture).
What You Will DoApply a solid understanding of typography, composition, and information design to create impactful visual communications.Interpret and integrate architectural scales, sections, plans, and elevations into design work, with a keen understanding of the built environment.Develop technical documentation, including location plans, message schedules, materials specifications, and create production-ready art with attention to detail.Learn and adapt to new software modeling and documentation tools to support project needs.Employ excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with an emphasis on technical writing, to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment.Work both collaboratively and independently on projects of all scales and typesYour Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, industrial design, environmental design, architecture, visual communication or related field2-5 years professional experience in environmental graphic design, print/digital design, or similar studio experienceAdobe Creative Suite with CADtools, specifically proficiency InDesign and IllustratorAbility to work in Figma, Adobe XD and Adobe After Effects is a strong advantageAbility to work in 3D modeling programs such as SketchUp is a strong advantageAbility to work in Revit for signage programming is a strong advantageMotion graphic, animation and/or illustration skills a plusProficiency in the latest design software including Adobe Creative Suite and CAD ToolsSketchup & Revit experience a plus, but not required
