Job Description

BryceTech is currently seeking an experienced Senior Communications Specialist. This position will be supporting FEMA at the headquarters and regional levels to enable FEMA to carry out its responsibilities under the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities, Non-financial Direct Technical Assistance (BRIC DTA) Strategic Coordination and Communication Support initiative in an efficient and effective manner. Some of the efforts under this task will require close coordination with other personnel supporting BRIC DTA implementation.

The person in this role will: At the National and regional levels, design and implement a variety of strategies, products, tools, and templates for use during various stages of project lifecycles Establish a robust data analysis and reporting framework to track the impact and outcomes of the BRIC DTA initiative. Develop dashboards and reports that provide key performance indicators, success metrics, and insights into the progress of projects. Ensure that data is collected and analyzed to measure the effectiveness of activities. Establish a knowledge management system to organize and share best practices, case studies, and research findings from various BRIC DTA activities. Implement a feedback mechanism that allows communities and Tribal Nations to provide input and suggestions for improving delivery of BRIC DTA. Regularly solicit feedback and to inform adjustments to enhance the quality of services provided. Provide mission support to different geographic regions, as required by COR, ensuring consistent and comprehensive planning, coordination, and management of communication and outreach tools for BRIC DTA. This mission support must be tailored to the needs of each region and is anticipated to encompass, such as, meeting preparation, status reports, data analysis, and research on communities and Tribal Nations. Develop communication products to share the progress of communities and Tribal Nations receiving technical assistance; and identify, capture, and adapt good and promising practices and lessons learned from other technical assistance projects and programs to find efficiencies and build upon existing work. Ensure there is no duplication of work and that opportunities to identify and create templates or standard processes are executed to provide standardized materials and approaches across programs and geographies. Support the BRIC DTA initiative to effectively leverage existing resources across FEMA Resilience, including the branches within the Hazard Mitigation Divisions at the regions as well as at other federal agencies. Existing resources may include risk analyses, risk management, risk communication tools and engagement strategies, and response and recovery information. Develop, disseminate, and deliver job aids, fact sheets, webinars, listening sessions, trainings, and similar deliverables, in support of the BRIC DTA initiative. Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the strategic coordination efforts and adapt strategies as needed. Regularly assess the impact of the BRIC DTA initiative and share findings with FEMA to inform continuous improvement efforts. Submit deliverables using DHS-compliant systems, as directed by the COR. This effort will involve gathering and uploading to DHS-compliant systems (or otherwise making available for FEMA's use) a variety of data, information, and reports necessary to enable FEMA to effectively monitor and report on progress against BRIC DTA goals and objectives Qualifications

10+ years of experience in government outreach and communications. Bachelors Degree in Communications or related field. Must have demonstrated experience leading teams of 5-10 in creating coordinated strategic communications and outreach campaigns. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products. Detail oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills. Proven ability to work in a team-based environment working cross-departmentally to complete projects as needed. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, initiative and follow-through, and flexibility and responsiveness to changing requirements and conditions. Demonstrated ability to think analytically and reason strategically. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work to deadlines are essential. Additional Information

Salary Range $125,000 - $135,000
