*Must have a portfolio*Must have e-commerce experienceUX will help lead the design and definition as a key contributor to UX team, responsible for integrating human-centered practices in unpacking and improving the digital customer experience across all stages of the travel journey. The UX team supports defining digital product strategy and providing the leadership to execute on that strategy with the help of a cross-functional mission-based teams. We're looking for an empathic, passionate curious designer who celebrates delivering high-quality solutions and thrives for innovation in a collaborative environment.PLAN & CONCEPTVisualize ideas using professional design tools as well as sticky notes, sketch boards, whiteboard markers or whatever tools are necessary to rapidly work through ideation and move to the next stageInitiate and respond to ideas for innovation/improvements based on research, analysis, and competitive reviewsIdentify user needs and business requirementsSubstantiate design approach with analysis & projections for improvementsDESIGN & REFINEEnsure digital customer touch points become and remain consistent with user experience and brand standardsDevelop intuitive, usable, and engaging interactionsDrive the design of next generation, navigation schemes, patterns, components and templates across the company's products, insuring a consistent, appealing, and dynamic customer experience.Create low and high fidelity interactive prototypes adhering to a rapid, iterative and collaborative processWork with usability researchers to design test plans and iterate designs throughout user testing. Translate usability research findings into design improvements.Education/CertificationBA/BS or equivalent work experience requiredKnowledge/SkillsSolid grasp of web design principles and a good understanding of front-end web technologies requiredExcellent understanding of user experience design for the Web, mobile, and touch devices requiredAbility to coordinate, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere with minimal supervision requiredExperience in writing detailed design specifications (IA, work flow, page functionality and layout, etc.), which technology developers use to build the product requiredMust be a self-starter that can create schedules and define scope of work even when there are no clear requirements and direction requiredStrong ability to communicate your design, defend your design decisions, and respond quickly to business needs requiredProven ability to set the design direction for your projects and to collaborate with other designers working in the space requiredA team player who can easily adapt in a rapidly changing environment requiredExperience5+ years professional UX design experience required8+ years professional UX design experience preferredPay Range: $60-75/ HR W2The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
