Engineer-in-Training in the Water Resources group in our Kennewick, WA office
. This position is perfect for recent graduates or spring 2025 graduates that have an interest in water, wastewater, hydraulics, and hydrology. J-U-B delivers innovative services to allow our clients to succeed while providing a long-term, stable work environment for our employees.
While applying technical civil engineering knowledge and skills, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to:Plan, design and implement critical community infrastructure projects including water distribution and treatment, wastewater collection, treatment and reclamation, irrigation, and stormwater infrastructure.Play key roles in all phases of project planning, design, and construction management.Analyze engineering data, interpret plans and specifications, and make sound decisions.Work side-by-side with senior engineers and project managers on projects from conception to completion.Support related water/wastewater design efforts such as master plans, technical memorandums, hydraulic modeling, pump stations, storage tanks, reservoirs, and pipelines.Collaborate with government agencies for permits, crossing agreements, easements, encroachments, and other necessary requirements.Requirements:
EIT:
Certification as Engineer-in-Training (passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam) or ability to obtain within 6 months.Recent graduate or upcoming Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering with a water resource, or equivalent emphasis.MS Office proficientExcellent communication and writing skills.Desired Qualifications:Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.Prior experience working as an intern under a professional engineer is a plus.Salary Range:
Salary Range $70,000 - $75,000 and determined by experience
