Your Role on the Team:
On-Call Document Formatter (Desktop Publisher) (Remote)
We are looking for an
On-Call
Document Formatter
with expertise in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat who is detailed oriented with a strong understanding of graphic design principles and page layout. You will be responsible for desktop publishing and production/file preparation activities in support of proposals. You will partner with proposal teams to produce proposal outlines, documents, and related material while ensuring compliance with solicitation requirements and corporate brand standards.
This is an hourly, part-time position that provides support coverage as needed for overflow work, including on nights, holidays, and weekends. Hours will fluctuate weekly. A commitment to cover an average of 20 hours per week is required.
This position is remote. You can work from anywhere in the United States.
Your Responsibilities:
Perform desktop publishing to accurately format and revise Microsoft Word proposal-related documents that are visually pleasing, easy-to-read, and compliant with solicitation requirements as well as corporate standards for quality, format, and style. Integrate and format proposal content from multiple authors Insert and properly align graphics, exhibits, tables, charts, and graphs into final proposal documents Compile and prepare final files for print or electronic submission using Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat Work closely with proposal managers, proposal coordinators, graphic designers, technical subject matter experts (SMEs), and other team members throughout the proposal development process What We're Looking For:
5+ years of desktop publishing experience We're also Looking For:
Expertise in Microsoft Word 365 Advanced experience with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Excel (formatting and page setup features), and PowerPoint Advanced experience using Adobe Acrobat Pro Extensive knowledge using styles to format Word documents and developing templates for large, complex documents Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent knowledge of grammar and punctuation Proven ability to work quickly, accurately, and collaboratively in a fast-paced, customer-service-oriented environment to meet deadlines, which might include nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to maintain a positive attitude, even when under pressure Experience working effectively both independently and as part of a team Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as teaming partners Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS): Word Certification Proposal-specific desktop publishing experience Experience and familiarity with analyzing solicitation sections that impact format and production Experience in formatting for Section 508 compliance Experience working in a fully virtual environment using Microsoft Teams

Pay Range
- There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.
The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is: $52,488.00 - $89,230.00
