Position Summary:


This role is responsible for timely completion of designs and drawings supporting Special Project Requests, product updates, and new product development. The Drafter / Designer will design and detail Special Product Requests and coordinate the requirements to support Product Engineering and Manufacturing. This position will also provide technical support to the Product Management and Special Project Estimating teams, assist in managing the drawing library, and assist in facilitating the Engineering Change Request process.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepares CAD drawings to support the manufacture of Special Product Requests by creating structural details, visual guidelines, dimensions, and material lists.
  • Update drawings, specifications, and material callouts to support product changes.
  • Manages Special Product Request queue and provides timely turnaround of engineering requirements.
  • Identifies and specifies required items to be purchased.
  • Identifies and communicates processes to be followed for manufacture. Provides bill of materials, machining and installation instructions for Production Control and Manufacturing.
  • Facilitate product prototyping when necessary.
  • Provides support for technical documentation, drafting requirements, Engineering change documentation and analysis.
  • Embraces SME role to provide support, product knowledge and act as resource to Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales and Customer Service.
  • Assist and support other projects and needed.


Compensation / Benefits:

  • Compensation range of $30.00 - $40.00 DOE, Non Exempt Status, depending on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities
