Freelance Marketing Procurement Manager
Position OverviewOur pharmaceutical client is searching for a freelance Marketing Procurement Manager to help support the implementation of global sourcing strategies. This role is responsible for executing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services while maintaining cost efficiency. The role involves collaboration with various internal teams to support operational goals and drive improvements in procurement processes.
This is a 3 month, 40 hour a week assignment, with a flexible hybrid schedule onsite in Cambridge, MA.
Key ResponsibilitiesExecute procurement strategies to meet organizational needs.Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and operational initiatives.Negotiate pricing and contract terms with suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes.Monitor inventory levels and manage the procurement process to ensure timely delivery of materials.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.Strong communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.Proficiency in procurement tools and software, with experience in Coupa preferred.Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including medical data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment. Additionally, drug products may be present in the workplace.
