Position Summary

The Executive Presentation Designer is a highly skilled, creative, and results-driven designer that will play a key role in crafting executive and senior leadership presentations that elevate our brand and effectively communicate our message. This role requires a collaborative designer with a strong background in creative development, presentation software such as PowerPoint, and visual storytelling of complex information. Creating impactful and innovative presentations that resonate with diverse audiences across multiple channels are key to success in this position.

Essential Responsibilities

Develop visually dynamic presentations for Xcel Energy executives and senior leaders that adhere to brand guidelines and visual design, elevate our brand image, and clearly communicates messages.

Collaborate with leaders and subject matter experts to understand presentation goals, content, and target audience (internal teams, Board meetings, industry partners, investors, etc.).

Transform complex information and data into clear, concise, and visually engaging slides, incorporating data visualization, charts and infographics.

Utilize presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite to create high-quality presentations and presentation templates, including slide masters, training tools and image libraries.

Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Support Creative Services team and participate in brand reviews of marketing materials.

Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, leveraging insights to drive creative innovation and differentiation.

Adapt global content and value propositions to fit the unique dynamics of regional markets, ensuring relevance and resonance with local audiences.

Develop standardization of a visually branded PPT template system.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Design, or a related field.

7+ years of experience in creative roles in B2B/B2C industries or related field, including at least 5 years specializing in presentation development.

Ability to travel to support executives at conferences, Board meetings, etc., and flexibility to align with executive schedules.

Compelling portfolio showcasing visual design skills and ability to create clear and engaging presentations.

Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually impactful presentations.

Proficiency in major relevant presentation design and project management tools, software and systems, such as Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft PowerPoint, being aware of PC/Mac differences, designing for various output media (projector, monitors and printouts), object animations, embedding video.

Preferred Skills

Strong background on presenting/visually storytelling of complex or technical information.

High business acumen and ability to understand business strategies and convert into visual storytelling.

Previous experience with brand, marketing, and/or executive teams.

Non-Bargaining

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $81,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
