The pay range for this position is $17.00 to $18.75 per hour.

Summary/Primary Purpose:

The Audio-Visual and Technical Support Specialist is responsible for the setup and operation of audio and visual equipment throughout the center. Also provides regular maintenance support for computer hardware, programs, and equipment inventory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up, operate, and maintain audio and visual equipment, including digital mixer, stage lighting, digital TV screens, projectors, speakers, microphones, and other equipment as needed.Serve as part of the Worship team providing technical and audio-visual support for practices and performances during Sunday church services and other special ministry events, including Holy Days such as Christmas Eve, Easter, and other events as arranged.Coordinate with event and facility staff regarding audio-video requirements and/or technical support required for special events.Operate video streaming services to broadcast Sunday services and other relevant events online.Troubleshoot audio-visual technical issues and provide solutions.Provide technical support and advice to clients and staff.Ensure that all audio-visual equipment meets safety standards.Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance, and repairs.Assist with setup of basic computer peripherals, phone devices, and other equipment as needed.Work schedule will be flexible and will include some evenings and weekend hours to support various other events.All other duties as assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent with 1-2 years related experience sin audio-visual equipment and technical support.

Other Qualifications:

Must pass all applicable background checks.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Must successfully complete Safe from Harm training within 90 days of hire, as established by The Salvation Army.

Physical requirements include good speaking, hearing, and vision. Ability to sit for extended periods of time, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment. Ability to kneel, crawl, or work in difficult or tight locations. This position may be required to lift up to 25 pounds.

Working Conditions:

Usual office working conditions. May be required at times to work evenings and weekends and travel as request to other locations. In addition, portions of the primary work facility may be considered humid (natatorium) while other locations (gymnasium) may be considered moderately loud in nature.
