Summary of Purpose
Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve the organic search ranking of our website and increase conversions. This includes staying up to date with search engine algorithms, conducting keyword research, writing and optimizing website content, analyzing performance metrics to make improvements to the website, developing, maintaining and communication best practice standards and providing assistance to webpage creators and contributors promoting a best-in-class digital experience for all users.Typical Duties

Conduct keyword research using available tools to identify high-value keywords relevant to target audience and strategic priorities and write supportive content.Optimize website content, including titles, meta descriptions, headings, and body copy, for target keywords.Improve website structure and internal linking for better crawlability and user experience.Develop and execute link-building strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks from authoritative websites.Collaborate with stakeholders to develop SEO-friendly content that aligns with target keywords and audience intent.Monitor website traffic, keyword rankings, and other relevant metrics using tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO software.Share reports on SEO performance, trends, and insights for stakeholders.Responsible for maintaining and communicating best practice documentation and content strategy.Maintains knowledge of college policies and procedures, and state and federal laws and regulations.Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge and Skills Required
In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors and SEO best practices.Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive actionable insights.Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.Experience and basic understanding of content management systems and web development languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).Knowledge of UX best practices, web quality assurance systems and ADA website compliance.Ability to work as a team player in a multi-cultural diverse working environment and demonstrate excellent customer service.Proven ability to work well both independently and within a group environment.
Minimum Education and Experience
Education : Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience : Three (3) - Five (5) years of experience in digital content creation and management or similar role. Experience in higher education applications and with multi-cultural students and staff preferred.
