What will your job look like?

The

Proposal and Technical Writer (RFP Team)

develops content in response to RFPs and in support of new business development. The main responsibility is to prepare proposals by determining concept, gathering and formatting information, writing drafts, and obtaining approvals. This position also builds and maintains records for our proposal database.

What you'll do:

Develop entire RFP responses, as well as unsolicited proposalsDetermine proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs; studying requests for proposal (RFPs); attending strategy meetingsMeet proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval; entering and monitoring tracking data; coordinating requirements with contributors; contributing proposal status information to review meetingsGather proposal information by identifying sources of information and coordinating submissions and collectionsMaintain quality results by following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency and toneSupport in editing proposalsConduct periodic review of content by subject matter expertsPerform final flip through of proposals prior to submissionSupport in editing of Marketing materials to ensure consistencyCreate, save, and organize documents within SharePointAssist with the development and maintenance of content in SharePointFurther develop professional skills to better serve company goals and objectivesUpdate job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and maintaining personal networksProvide editing support to all departments as needed and assists in creation of manuals and training materialsAssist in creation of Marketing materials as neededSeek efficiencies in current departmental processesWhat you'll need:

Experience, Education & Certifications:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalentCombined education and relevant work experience may substitute for post-secondary education3+ years' experience as a technical writer, copywriter/editor, journalist and/or research assistantIntermediate level of proficiency or above with Microsoft WordSkills:

Salary Min: $55,000

Salary Max: $80,000
