Ripple Effect is looking for a graduate student to join our team as a Web Developer Intern to support our client's mission. This role will be on the Digital Transformation team and will work with other teams to oversee the development of high-quality websites, collaborate with designers, and implement best practices to ensure optimal website performance and user experience.

Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practicesUse internet technologies, techniques, scripting and object-oriented languages and databases (e.g. HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL) to create, edit, and update web page elements such as user interface features, site animation, web apps, special effects, databases, and e-business applicationsIntegrate data from various back-end services and databasesTroubleshoot a variety of issues including script and plugin errors, media integration, and website usabilitySupport the maintenance, expansion, and scaling of websitesImprove websites using industry best practices for both functionality and search engine resultsStay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activitiesDraft and maintain software documentationOther duties, as assignedRequirements
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degreeEnrolled in current graduate programBasic Requirements
Proficient in WordPress and DrupalExcellent documentation skills including with requirements gatheringProgramming skills and knowledge of modern HTML/CSSAbility to code in at least one programming language, such as Javascript and PythonKnowledge of jQuery and other web development libraries and frameworksBasic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization processStrong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelinesAbility to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies and techniquesHighly organized, efficient, and extremely detail-orientedDemonstrated strength in oral and written communication skills, including professional emailsAbility to work productively and collaboratively in SharePoint to accomplish tasksAvailable to support projects for at least 10 hours per week, during 9-5pm Monday-FridayTo be successful at Ripple Effect, you must be able to pay attention to details, clearly communicate, work independently, and have an eagerness to learn.
