SUMMARY:
The Expeditor must be an expert at prioritization, organization, and communication. The job is a fast-paced environment where you must remain focused and energized when moving multiple tasks through to completion. Both internal and external relationship building is a must with an emphasis on putting the "team" first. You can take the pressure situations from chaos to calm to customer satisfaction. Work environment is in a dynamic operations team providing first class product support to your customers
Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :High School education or equivalent is requiredSome Planning, Purchasing, or Customer Service experience is preferred in "business to business" activityExcellent typing/data processing skillsTECHNICAL and/or MANAGERIAL JOB COMPETENCIES:
Intermediate to advanced PC skills, as well as general knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is a must. Familiarity with business management software including MRP2, inventory management, etc. preferred. Representative must show willingness to learn and master our internal Planning and Purchasing computer systemESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Obtain delivery information (may utilize on-line vendor access) for sales representatives to process customer quotesExpedite past due deliveries from suppliers with priority on products with existing customer requirements and respond to our sales representativesVerifies P.O.'s confirmations are processed correctly; ensures P.O.'s requiring special handling are dealt with in a timely mannerResponds with a sense of urgency to any request or issue and provides information and/or resolution in an expeditious manner to the appropriate peopleInteracts with all suppliers, internal and external customers in a friendly, timely and helpful mannerRunning daily and monthly reportsAssist with special projects and data entryExhibit time management skills and ability to prioritize responsibilitiesAbility to recognize a potential problem and react quickly and effectivelyDisplay strong communication skills, both written and verbalMust demonstrate strong team and human relation skills, reliability, and trustworthinessMust be a proactive and enthusiastic team playerPunctuality and dependability are crucial
