Marcom's Design team crafts design deliverables for every event to deliver the world’s best aesthetic and visuals. We work closely with multiple groups across Apple and within Marcom to create engagement through visuals, introducing products and services to a global audience. We make the result beautiful, and the effort invisible. As part of the broader Design Team, Retail Design is responsible for crafting innovative and inspiring communications for Apple Retail. We partner with many internal groups, including Interactive, 3D Visual Merchandising, Retail Brand, Commercial Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Product Marketing to create campaigns that promote Retail’s initiatives both in-store and online.
Description
An integral member of the creative team responsible for developing engaging retail communications across platforms, from in-store print deliverables to digital media and online content. The role contributes to planning and art directing retail projects from ideation through delivery of production. Key responsibilities include: Art Direct projects that demand both conceptual and functional thinking, and present them to teams and leadership effectively With a strong eye for art direction, develop a systematic and scalable approach to deliverables Dive deep into the details while also steering towards big picture objectives Provide direction, oversight, and leadership to project teams and responds swiftly to new information, opinions, and directions to pivot strategically Working as part of a dedicated team, focused on excellent design in accordance with project constraints and parameters Crafting innovative and inspiring campaigns that align with creative briefings, while collaborating with partners and mentoring junior creatives Possessing an eye for aesthetic and conveying a strong point of view on design solutions through innovative thinking
Minimum Qualifications
6+ years of work experience in a design field or design environment
A portfolio exhibiting a thorough grasp of design principles, branding, typography and visual communication.
Experience in graphic design, branding, photography and/or art direction
Key Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
BA/BFA degree in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, or other related discipline.
Experience working on fully integrated campaigns, with an expert ability to ideate and create innovative and visually appealing work across a broad range of media
Resourceful, with good organization skills to file work in a manner that can be shared with the team
Excellent communication skills and collaborates well with a team to find simple solutions to complex problems
Experience with 3D software, such as Cinema 4D
Ability to guide and evaluate work, and if necessary, redirect creative development
Be curious and passionate about design — with a keen awareness of the evolving landscape of available tools, technologies, resources, and trends
Effectively lead junior creative staff members, vendors, freelancers, and photographers as needed

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,900 and $216,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
