Your role at Clorox:

The Director of Innovation will collaborate with our BUs driving the development of Clearly Superior Consumer Experiences and execution of groundbreaking initiatives that enhance our brand’s market position and foster long-term growth. The focus of this job will be on identifying insights and commercializing scalable innovations that address unmet consumer needs. This includes the launch into new adjacencies, new business models and/or launching new sub-brands.

In this role, you will:

As the Director of Innovation for half of the Clorox Company, you will be responsible for delivering robust and consistent innovation pipelines across the six Care & Connect Business Units, meeting or exceeding the innovation metrics for the Group.

Your focus will be to:

Partner with BUs to maximize the potential of our biggest innovation bets

Build innovations that deliver clear superior consumer experiences

Report sufficiency status of our C&C pipeline value, including ops & risks

Elevate our consumer connectivity and insights across portfolio

Foster a culture of creativity and continuous improvement

Build relationships with external partners, vendors and thought leaders

You will provide innovation guidance to the BU GMs and Leadership Teams, and utilize your innovation expertise to enhance discovery work and team production. You will assure that the teams are obsessed with consumer insights, are fluent in digital methodologies and Discovery best practices, and drive Design to Value principles into every cross functional effort. You will ensure that every C&C experience is a Superior Consumer Experience, and utilize training and connections to develop the capabilities throughout the Group. You will coach and develop the R&D Leaders in C&C, and sit on the functional R&D Sr. Staff to build bench strength and appropriate R&D Center capabilities relevant for C&C and the enterprise.

What we look for:

12+ years of marketing / innovation experience, or track record of startup success.

Minimum of 5 years in CPG.

Proven ability to lead teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment'

Excellent consumer and trend orientation

Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

Excellent project management capabilitie

Adept at leveraging insights and market research to drive innovation

Creative: Ability to generate original ideas that meet consumer needs

12+ years of marketing / innovation experience, or track record of startup success.

Minimum of 5 years in CPG.

Experience in innovation and creativity, product development and scaling.

Experience across Product, Process and Packaging innovation.

Track record of driving disruptive innovations such as:

Establishing new categories, new services, new business models, expansion into new segments and/or launching new sub-brands.

Digitally savvy and proficient in design thinking and agile methodologies.

Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

We use broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities, while also allowing for differentiation based on performance. Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $171,700 - $352,600

–Zone B: $157,400 - $324,200

–Zone C: $143,100 - $294,700

This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox’s incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
