OverviewWe are seeking an experienced
UX Specialist
to join our client’s team in Woodlawn, MD. In this role, you will derive business processes, analyze user needs, assist in requirements definition, design browser-based interfaces, and design and conduct usability testing. This direct-hire role is located in
Woodlawn, MD , and requires onsite presence at least 2 days a week.
Candidates must live within 2 hours of the client-site.
A digital portfolio of design work is required to be considered for this job.
Per our client contract, candidates must be
U.S. Citizens or Green Card Holders , eligible to obtain a Public Trust clearance. The candidate must be willing to wait for the 4-to-6-week clearance process.
Responsibilities
Derive business processes, analyze user needs, assist in requirements definition, design browser-based interfaces, and design and conduct usability testing
Elicit business goals and user needs from stakeholders
Facilitate customer discovery sessions
Create and refine screen prototypes
Create Conceptual Models, Journey Maps, Personas and Scenarios of Use
Document user requirements, screen designs, and design recommendations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
AND
7 years of relevant experience
6 years of direct Interaction/Interface design experience in User-Centered Methods and User Analysis
6 years of experience documenting user requirements, screen designs, and design recommendations
4 years of experience designing and conducting formative usability tests in both formal and informal settings
4 years of experience preparing and presenting findings and recommendations in small and large group settings
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with:
Axure RP prototyping software
AdobeXD prototyping software
Pega and/or ServiceNow platforms
Agile/Scrum methodology
Understanding of responsive design
Prior experience supporting government agencies
Understanding of Section 508 and its requirements regarding design
Hold additional UX Certifications such as UX Master Certification (NN/g) or UX Design Immersive (General Assembly)
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range of $110K-$125K, based on experience, qualifications, location, and certifications.
The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
