Our client is a privately held, industry leader in the design, marketing, sourcing, and distribution of 20+ brands, in over 20K stores in 6 countries. In business 45 Years they are focused on product varieties in fashion, home, and holiday brands, licensing, and private label.

In this role, you'll collaborate with the Design Team to create technical specifications for men's and women's activewear and sportswear. The role spans a wide variety of skills relating to fit and sample development.

You must be a self-starter and capable of balancing multiple projects simultaneously while paying attention to deadlines and benchmarks.

Responsibilities:

Participates in fit sessions with the goal of expanding knowledge and experience across categoryRecord results on the appropriate forms to be used for fit sessions and report writingCommunicate with overseas on fit samples & adjustmentsCreate flats as needed for tech packsDevelop detailed technical drawings and sketches using Adobe IllustratorModifies construction sketches and other details in tech pack specifications as neededCommunicates and interacts with internal and external partners. Topics include sample status, fitcomments, and garment construction comments as well as tracking samples.Create and maintain accurate measurement charts and grading specificationsCommunicate with manufacturers to address any technical issues or questionsQualifications:

Minimum 1-2 years technical design experienceStrong knowledge of fashion design principles and techniquesExcellent attention to detail and ability to accurately measure garmentsBasic understanding of fit, garment construction, and sample measuring a benefitProficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Illustrator, for creating technical drawingsand sketchesAbility to maintain focus and accuracy while working in a fast-paced environmentAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsA cooperative, positive attitudeStrong organizational skills is a mustAbility to accept feedback about processes and skill set and engage in conversation around bestpractices to deepen knowledge base

Benefits:

Hybrid 4 days in office, Friday WFH, 401K, dental, medical, vision, pre-tax commuter benefit, paid vacation / PTO in addition to an extra 10-15 holiday closures/year (depends on calendar year)

Salary Range:

$50,000- -$55,000
