JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a highly talented, passionate Content Specialist to join our Content Team within Apex’s Marketing and Business Development Department.This role is responsible for creating, editing, and organizing compelling content for Apex’s website and marketing materials.

The Content Specialist is responsible for executing the following tasks:

Create and develop engaging and informative copy across various platforms, including website, articles, print materials, press releases, and email campaigns.

Conduct research to gather relevant information and insights to support content creation.

Write and edit content that aligns with brand guidelines, tone of voice, and target audience to effectively communicate key messages and drive engagement.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts, achieve business goals and objectives.

Optimize content for search engines (SEO) to increase organic visibility and drive traffic to the company website.

Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and apply that knowledge to enhance content quality and effectiveness.

Adhere to content calendars and deadlines, prioritize projects, and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Other content duties as assigned


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience

2+ years of experience creating, writing, or developing content

Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint including a strong eye for formatting

Experience with B2B content development, technology services preferred

Experience using Canva, Adobe or other design tools is preferred

Experience using Content Management Systems (Drupal, WordPress, etc.) is preferred

The expected contract length is 6-months.

This position will be a hybrid role and requires 3 days in-office per week, based in Richmond, VA
