Overview: The Marketing Content Specialist is responsible for creating content, analyzing results from marketing initiatives, and providing support for credit union events. Must be able to work on multiple assignments concurrently and deliver ideas and recommendations based on company objectives and project strategies. Work collaboratively with internal and external resources to help implement a wide range of projects across multiple media and distribution channels.

Responsibilities :
  • Create and coordinate message integration consistent with brand strategy across all marketing channels, including advertising, promotion, direct mail, website, social media, digital marketing, email, video, and branch marketing.
  • Create compelling content library of blogs and articles for use on website and in member newsletters.
  • Write clear, concise, grammatically correct copy consistent with Texans' brand voice.
  • Support and attend on premise events, business development meetings, webinars and sponsorships.
  • Write and edit email campaigns for specific target audiences.
  • Help measure and analyze success of marketing programs including the results, implications and recommendations.
  • Conduct research to develop or support writing and participate in brainstorming/planning sessions.
  • Edit and proofread copy as needed.
  • Partner with team and outside creative professionals to build marketing projects and campaigns.
  • Accountable to the Marketing Director for all marketing investment within their business areas.
  • Perform other related duties as requested and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Requirements :
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or related field.
  • 3-5 years' communications experience. Financial services experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and digital communications skills.
  • Proficiency with communication technologies and platforms.
  • Copywriting and copy-editing abilities.
  • Superior proofreading and editing skills, with a strong focus on grammar and flow.
  • Experience developing content for social media, web and mobile.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or other related software.
  • Ability to perform in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Technologically proficient.
