JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Content Creator will lead NCL's social content capture initiatives across all social media channels, ensuring high-quality, engaging, and on-brand content. The role will collaborate with various departments to bring the brand to life through compelling visual and written content and will help oversee content ideation/creation and social video production/storytelling, traveling/cruising to destinations around the world to showcase the NCL experience.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create high-quality visual and written content, including photos, videos, graphics, and copy, that engages the audience and drives brand awareness across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and other social media channels.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media team to develop and implement a detailed content calendar.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee all content capture initiatives for social media channels, including photo and video shoots on board our ships, at events, and other locations.
  • Plan and execute live social media content, such as Facebook Live, Instagram Live, and other real-time content opportunities
  • Monitor social media trends, tools, applications, and best practices to ensure the company's social media presence is cutting-edge and effective.
  • Work closely with the social media, creative and other marketing teams to ensure cohesive and strategic content across all platforms, while ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and messaging.
  • Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of social media content and provide insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Strategically repurpose content across different platforms to maximize reach and impact.
  • Mentor the Content Creator, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Perform other job-related functions as assigned.

DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design or any equivalent education and/or work experience.

EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in content creation, with a focus on social media and digital marketing.
  • Experience mentoring junior staff members.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS
  • Excellent communication, writing, and storytelling skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing social media trends and platforms, with a proactive approach to experimenting with new formats and features.
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, shoot and produce highly engaging social content.
  • High proficiency in in-platform and social-centric content editing software for both photo and video (e.g., Cap Cut, Photoshop, etc.)
  • Proficiency in advanced content editing software for both photo and video (e.g., Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Lightroom).
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, their respective audiences, and best practices.
