Monday- Thursday 9:00-2:00
Pay Rate Range: $27-$33

Reports to: Creative Health & Wellness Clinic Coordinator / Program Manager
Status: Part-time/ non-exempt
Job Purpose:
To provide meaningful and engaging evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals with developmental disabilities. The position is responsible for creating and implementing treatment plans designed to develop gross/fine motor skills, sensory skills, perceptual motor skills and language in a safe therapeutic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct clinical assessment and create treatment plan per the individual or group
- Assess needs of individuals to create and implement goals and objectives that enhance interests and support growth
- Design pre-tests/post-tests when applicable
- Evaluate progress towards goals and objectives/response to interventions
- Plan and provide topic and age-appropriate interventions
- Conduct music/art/drama/dance therapy sessions accordingly to weekly schedule
- Conduct therapy sessions as requested by program managers (as needed)
- Encourage individuals to participate in engaging activities
- Explore a variety of styles within your scope of practice with
- Provide excellent documentation and records on sessions in a timely manner according to established criteria
- Contribute professional knowledge through in-services, trainings, etc.
- Attend Individual Program Plan (IPP) meetings
- Contribute to treatment/team meetings
- Contribute to Individualized Service Plan (ISP)
- Maintain certifications, continuing education credits, and attend trainings to keep up with current academic publications
- Maintain clinical competency in relation to your field (ex. Music, art, drama, dance, etc.)
- Demonstrate effective communication skills with care team (ex. Program staff)
- Adhere to organization policy and procedures
- Compliance in community care licensing/state/federal mandates
- Participates in monthly in-services, weekly staff meetings
- Maintaining up to date certifications (CPR, First Aid, etc.)
- Conduct virtual therapeutic sessions as needed
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor within scope of practice

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field/creative arts therapy degree- (music therapy, dance therapy, drama therapy, art therapy etc.
- Knowledge of individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
- Technical knowledge of computer, tablet, therapeutic database
- Eligibility for board certification
- Up-to-date certifications and licenses in relevant field
- High-level skills in relevant fields (musicianship, art, theatre, dance, etc.)
Travel:
Approximately 30%
- Travel to clinic sites in Los Angeles/Long Beach area as needed
- Travel amongst Able ARTS Work facilities in Hawthorne/Long Beach as needed
