In this role, you will be tasked with crafting and structuring lesson plans tailored to the study of Asian art, maintaining a dynamic and interactive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning, and offering constructive feedback to students to facilitate their academic growth. Syllabus development, submission, and approval will be within your purview, along with conducting office hours and overseeing midterm grade evaluations. Additionally, you will organize supplementary sessions, opportunities for further learning, and immersive experiences such as field trips, all aimed at enriching students' understanding of Asian art.
Central to this position is the demonstration of professionalism and adherence to grading protocols and academic record-keeping standards. You will be responsible for meticulously documenting attendance, adhering to academic policies and guidelines, and actively contributing to academic assessment initiatives and institutional effectiveness endeavors. Attendance at both physical and virtual academic gatherings, including faculty assemblies and admissions events, will be expected. Furthermore, your role will encompass the evaluation and enhancement of curriculum, as well as providing support for institutional effectiveness evaluations and accreditation processes. Additionally, you may be called upon to participate in various events, exhibitions, or promotional activities relevant to the field of Asian art.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Terminal degree (or equivalent) in the discipline or in a relevant field.
• Academic and professional credentials to teach in a certain discipline.
• Teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.
• Experience in or knowledge of related professions.
