Otter Tail Power Company seeks a passionate and talented individual to join our creative team as a
Production Artist. This role designs eye-catching visuals, produces print ready artwork, and ensures
brand consistency across all digital and print materials. Success in this role requires a passion for visual
storytelling, a desire to collaborate with team members and customers, a keen eye for detail, and the
ability to think strategically about how design can elevate the overall message.
This position offers the opportunity for your designs to have a meaningful impact on Otter Tail Power
Company, as well as individuals and businesses outside the company, playing a key role in meeting
company-wide profitability and customer satisfaction goals.
Duties and responsibilities
* Design print and digital collateral materials that support the branding and marketing of Otter Tail Power Company.
* Demonstrate desire and ability to interpret and translate the customers concept into a design solution that meets and exceeds their expectations.
* Conceive, design, and implement layouts, images, and graphics for inserts, brochures, flyers, reports, advertisements, logos, publications, and social media.
* Create and apply visual concepts that are relevant, strategic, and effective.
* Ensure consistency of brand across all digital platforms and printed materials.
* Ensure that print projects include production requirements, i.e. color mode, bleed, fold, andcutting allowances
* Collaborate on cross-functional teams.
* Maintain logo standards and their consistent use (specialty marketing items, company vehicles, and company signage).
* Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications, budget restrictions, and timeline.
* Contribute to team and organization goals.
Preferred experience and skills
* Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat
* Knowledge of printing processes
* Experience as a graphic artist or production artist
