Job Description
AAMCI is excited to hire an energetic individual who is qualified with Section 8 project based and tax credit experience to join our team as Assistant Community Manager at a 165-unit multi family community located in Lancaster, SC.
Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm. Hourly rate $20-$23.
The community is an affordable housing community with Section 8 project based rent subsidy and LIHTC, providing housing to income-qualified residents. In this position, AAMCI expects strong customer service, safety management, skill set development and time management with the goal to create a home and strong communities for each of our residents to thrive.
AAMCI provides many training opportunities, and many paid opportunities to obtain higher levels of certificates.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Annual Recertifications (AR)
- Interim Certifications (IR)
- Process verifications
- Special Claims
- Move outs, Move out deposit accounting
- Monthly Utility spreadsheet
- Submissions to collections
- Oversee AR Specialist.
- Assisting in inspection of units, buildings, and common areas
- Ensuring that all maintenance requests are handled in in a prompt, efficient, and cost-effective manner
- Ensuring that all vacancies are prepared and leased in a timely manner
- Always striving for 100% occupancy
Qualifications necessary for success:
- Organizational skills
- Yardi
- Section 8 (HUD) and LIHTC Certifications
- MS Outlook
- Supervise 2 or more
- Ability to remain calm in stressful or difficult situations
- Administrative experience
- Clear communication skills, Written and verbal
