The Rossier School of Education is seeking an experienced Audio/Visual Analyst to join its Management Information Systems Team.

The Audio/Visual Analyst will be a member of the technology team that is directly responsible for providing excellent customer support for faculty, staff, and students and specialized technical maintenance for all audio-visual systems, computers in a multi-platform environment, and various productivity, multimedia, and distance learning software being used in the school's interactive spaces.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable supporting and promoting the effective use of interactive technology, especially in active learning spaces (online and on-ground). This candidate will perform outreach including data collection, information sharing, consultation, training, and collaborative workshops and presentations; evaluate and consult on learning space designs and technology installations; and will help develop new technology implementation strategies.

The candidate should be able to demonstrate excellent technical troubleshooting of audio-visual equipment, devices, and systems such as distribution amplifiers, wireless microphone systems, A/V switches, and web cameras.

Candidate must be flexible and available to work mid-day or evening shift as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Interfaces with faculty and staff to provide instructional support and deliver best practices through audio-visual systems and interactive conferencing set-up. (e.g., web, phone, and video conferencing systems)
  • Participates in the development of documentation, user policies and procedures, and/or security procedures.
  • Plans, develops, and conducts in-person and virtual training sessions on such topics as hardware and software applications including related policies and procedures for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots computer and audio/visual equipment, devices and systems. Solves problems and resolves issues related to the use of interactive spaces. Collaborates with other personnel to improve virtual support presence, management of and access to computing and multimedia classroom resources.
  • Coordinates the introduction and installation of new multimedia and related computer resources and answers questions regarding their proper use. Determines the best equipment based on business needs. Conducts training seminars in various modalities.


The hourly range for this position is $32.79-$37.20. Minimum Education: Specialized/technical training, Associate's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education

Minimum Experience: 1 year

Minimum Field of Expertise: Experience in computer center operations within a multi-platform environment for networks, operating systems and applications. Working knowledge of networks and collaboration tools. Solid understanding of information technology concepts for voice and data systems, and ticket system for problem tracking and/or study in networking and/or computer information systems. Specialized knowledge of and experience with audio-visual equipment.
