Connectivity Point is currently seeking a full-time Audio-Visual Systems- Sales Engineer to support our South Carolina area of operations.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Audiovisual (AV) Systems Sales Engineer will be responsible for driving sales and business development in the AV sector within South Carolina. This role requires technical expertise in AV systems, strong sales acumen, and the ability to collaborate closely with clients to design and implement tailored solutions. The Sales Engineer will act as a bridge between the sales team, subject matter experts, and clients, ensuring the delivery of high-quality AV solutions for a range of commercial and educational applications.

  • RESPONSIBILITIES: *
    Identify new opportunities for AV solutions within commercial, educational, and corporate sectors across South Carolina.
    Collaborate with general contractors, facilities directors, architects, and end-users to uncover AV needs and develop solutions.
    Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in industries like education, healthcare, manufacturing, and corporate sectors.
    Conduct product presentations and demos to potential clients, highlighting the benefits and technical aspects of AV systems.
    Develop and deliver customized AV system proposals and quotes.
    Collaborate with sales team to create compelling value propositions and close deals.
    Collaborate with clients to understand their AV needs and challenges, providing consultative support to recommend appropriate systems.
    Design AV system configurations, ensuring they meet client requirements and project specifications.
    Provide system sizing, layouts, and technical documentation to ensure successful implementation.
    Act as a technical advisor during the project lifecycle, supporting the implementation team and ensuring alignment between sales and project execution.
    Assist with pre-sale technical reviews and post-sale support to ensure the systems meet client expectations.
    Conduct training sessions for clients on the proper use of AV systems.
    Offer ongoing technical support to client's post-installation to ensure optimal system performance.
    Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and competitors to position the company as a leader in AV solutions.
    Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams to refine strategies and promotional materials specific to the South Carolina market.

  • QUALIFICATIONS:
    Bachelor's degree in engineering, electronics, AV systems, or related field (preferred).
    o5+ years of experience in sales engineering, AV system design, or a related technical sales role.
    Proven history in selling and designing AV solutions in commercial, educational, or corporate environments.
    Strong technical knowledge of AV systems including audiovisual conferencing, video walls, sound systems, and control systems.
    Familiarity with industry standards and certifications for AV equipment (e.g., Crestron, Biamp, Extron, etc.).
    Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients.
    Proficiency in AV design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Visio).
    Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, and project management teams.
    Strong customer-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
    Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing market with evolving technology needs.
    CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or similar AV certifications (preferred).
    Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI) would be a plus.
    Experience working with K-12, higher education, corporate, and government clients in South Carolina or similar markets.
    Established relationships with key contractors, consultants, and end-users in the region.
