BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Marketing Localization Program Manager
Position Title: Marketing Localization Program Manager Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite at Data 1 or Bellevue hubs) Anticipated Start Date: 1-2 weeks Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date. Expected Duration: 6+ Months Job Type: [FULL TIME (>=40 HRS WEEKLY)], [CONTRACT], [Onsite] Pay: $65-$68/hr
Core Responsibilities: * Project Planning and Coordination: Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of digital content localization projects, from initiation to final delivery. Develop project plans, track milestones, manage resources, and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope. * Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding project status, updates, and challenges. Facilitate seamless communication between content creators, translators, developers, and marketing teams to ensure alignm ent. * Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, including marketing specialists, developers, translators, and content creators, to ensure localization projects meet business needs and international standards. * Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to optimize localization workflows. Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. * Technical Proficiency: Utilize localization tools and platforms (such as SDL WorldServer or Smartling) to execute projects. Maintain a strong understanding of software platforms that support multilingual content production. * Quality Assurance: Collaborate with in-house language managers and external agencies to ensure high localization standards, accuracy, and consistency. Ensure all deliverables are on time and within budget.
Requirements: Experience: * 3+ years of experience in localization program management, pref erably within a marketing environment. * 2+ years of experience using localization tools like SDL WorldServer or Smartling. * Strong background in managing international and cross-functional teams. * Project Management Skills: * Proven expertise in project management, including scope management, resource allocation, risk assessment, task tracking, and budget management.
Technical Knowledge: * Familiarity with multimedia localization and experience using project management tools such as Asana. * Highly proficient in spreadsheet tools for data tracking and analysis.
Language Skills: * Fluent in at least two languages, ensuring cultural and linguistic nuances are well understood.
Additional Skills: * Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to set expectations across international and US-based teams. * A results-oriented, can-do attitude that thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment. Ability to work well under pressure.
