Freelance Social Media Content Creator


ROLE SUMMARY: The position requires a strong knowledge of digital media platforms, attention to detail. The ideal candidate is an avid social media consumer, with a passion for beauty.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with Social Media Manager to brainstorm and conceptualize new content ideas
  • Shoot and edit content with direction from Social Media Manager. Content includes, but is not limited to social posts, ideating, videos, animated gifs, long format videos and all other social media creative
  • Sound editing for original audio for social media
  • Keep up with the latest video editing techniques.
  • Work in collaboration with Social Media Manager in executing a social media strategy to engage with followers and grow our digital community.
  • Stay up to date on current and emerging beauty and social media trends; continually provide research results to facilitate the identification of engagement opportunities and innovations
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of trends, developments and best practices in platforms, and technology (video editing and audio)
  • Ideate, create and execute fresh social media content in brand voice that aligns with creative direction and supports the brand vision
  • Generate ideas for improving on current and developing new ways to market content through social media


ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of experience capturing and editing/video for social media for beauty brands. Experience in the nail category is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with professional nail brands preferred.
  • Ability to interpret analytics with Social Media Manager to develop creative content accordingly
  • Must be comfortable with and able to self-direct social shoots and design within the brand's identity and maintain consistency
  • Must understand visual communication and have an eye for brand aesthetics
  • Passion and understanding of social media, digital, and marketing best practices
  • Must be detail-focused
  • Must be self-motivated and proactive
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud programs and Video Editing knowledge required
