Job Summary
As a NorCal regional resource, the Senior CX Designer collaborates with Creative Strategy, Sales, and Design teams to develop and exemplify an innovative client-led experience. They are a cross-functional collaborator and partner to help evolve a design-led approach to best serve our Insidesource clientele, in tandem with unifying our internal team members.

- Support a culture of knowledge-sharing.
- Ensure design excellence through your own professional development, skills assessment, and model the Insidesource design culture.
- As needed engagement with the A+D and client community through design-led experiences, professional affiliations, and ongoing project-based support.
- Working closely with CX Leadership, manage and maintain project workload summary to reflect and align ongoing tasks/activities.
- Partner cross-functionally to execute project strategy, programming, and solutions development.
- Participate in creative RFP responses, in collaboration with Marketing, Sales, Creative Experience Teams.
- Collaborate with Creative Strategy Director/CX team to evolve vendor strategy.
- Provide ongoing contribution to sales and design teams towards enhanced product solutions.
- Collaborate with project team to prepare solutions for client and project stakeholders utilizing market and workplace research, design presentations, conceptual renderings and/or sketches and other visualization necessary to convey design intent.
- Provide detailed, documented road map for contractor engagement, adhering to IS standards for design contractor support,
- Play a sales-led role in the marketing of design services to clients; participate in major sales presentations as a representative of the Creative Experience Team.
- Best Practices Collaboration: Work closely with Creative Director and other Creative Strategy team members to model best practices for connecting creative and branding strategy with project implementation.
- Creative Professional Development: Work closely with Design and Sales leaders to expand professional and creative development of all team members, including yourself.
- Content Creation: Collaborate with Design and Marketing towards on-going development of Sales and Creative Experience resources and tools.
- Mentorship: Mentor Sales and Design team through project engagements, to elevate project approach to creative and innovative solutions.
- Client-Led Partnership: Participate in Sales, Marketing and Design meetings to review bid and/or project approach as a means of illustrating design-led client engagement.
- Vendor Alignment: Partner with key vendors to share best practice and thought leadership regarding workplace environments.
- Research + Development: As needed, attend tradeshows and design industry forums, with a goal to share findings with Sales, Marketing and Design teams.
- A+D Market Activation: Seek out opportunities to engage in industry events and forums in which to represent Insidesource as a leader in workplace strategy and innovation.
- Collaborate with other functional design leaders to optimize and document design workflow including identification of critical gaps in existing process.
- Develop, standardize and implement new design tools and systems, Learning and Development programs, and technology platforms.
- Chart the course towards optimized project workflow, supporting a consistent practice at the highest quality.
- Collaborate with other functional design leaders to unify design language and approach across platforms and practice.
- Participate in vendor presentations and trainings to continuously expand product and technical knowledge.
- Participate in cross-functional Practice Leader forum to develop and implement departmental and cross-functional goals and objectives.
- Serve as a design “diplomat”, translating design process and methodologies to Insidesource’s broader organizational process.
- Assist with fostering strong cross-functional partnerships (within Creative Experience, Strategic Account teams, and across verticals).
- Collaborate with enterprise, regional and department leadership on development and implementation of best practices.
- Collaborate with other functional leaders to ensure physical and digital design libraries are resourced and supported efficiently and effectively.
- Provide thought leadership to collaborate and participate in departmental and cross-functional company meetings.
- Participate in Departmental, Branch and All Company meetings and other key leadership meetings as required.
- Follow company established requirements for process, protocols and cross-functional communication.
- Adhere to responsible use of technology equipment and programs.
- Maintain commitment to a high level of quality and integrity in our operating systems.
- Establish communications and visibility updates across team.
- Assume responsibility for the overall completion of projects including programming, strategic planning, conceptual designs, space planning, presentations, design development, and production.
- Proactively identify project risks, offering creative solutions and alternatives; work independently to execute next steps and evaluate results.
- Establish and manage design project budgets, project scope, contracts, and coordinate deliverables with internal and outsourced design resources.
- Manage and record billable hours, cultivate efficiencies, and reduce errors.
- Champion design operational excellence by implementing established design process and documentation standards.
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills and flexibility.
- Effectively and confidently address competing priorities and urgent situations, making sound decisions in short timeframes with appropriate action.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

- Design firm experience preferred.
- Understanding of and/or working on RFPs.
- Furniture product and specification knowledge.

- Advanced understanding of the design dealership model.

- Proven ability to design process and develop change management strategies.
- Effective leadership and mentoring skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point).
- Proficiency in Smartsheet and other organizational communications tools.
- Proficiency in CET + Specification Software.
- Ability to explore emerging software and technology tools in support of design development and visualization.
