You will need to have strong problem-solving and technical abilities, great communication skills, a motivation to learn, and achieve results in a fast-paced environment with excellent analytical reasoning skills.Key job responsibilitiesAs a SDE-III on the team, you will be responsible for:- Influencing and proposing ideas for the future of the space to product management, and get them into the roadmap.- Driving cross-team initiatives and leading a team of developers on key initiatives.- Collaborate with Senior and Principal Engineers, Product leaders, scientist and economists on building long term solutions.- Mentoring engineers on the team.Basic Qualifications- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering teamPreferred Qualifications- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
