As the Head of Communication & Engagement at Postman, you'll be at the forefront of our external and internal communication strategies, ensuring that our brand voice resonates consistently across all touchpoints. With Postman's rapid growth and global presence, you'll have the unique opportunity to shape the way we communicate with our diverse audience, from developers to partners and stakeholders, across various regions.
In this role, you'll be responsible for not only amplifying our brand presence but also fostering a culture of open communication and engagement within our teams. Your strategic insights and innovative approaches will be pivotal in ensuring that Postman remains a thought leader in the API-first world and a preferred workplace for talents globally.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and oversee the implementation of a comprehensive communication strategy that aligns with Postman's vision and business goals.
- Lead a team of communication professionals to create compelling content, campaigns, and initiatives that enhance Postman's brand image and engagement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all platforms, including PR, marketing, HR, and product teams.
- Drive internal communication initiatives that foster a transparent, inclusive, and engaged work environment.
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics to gauge the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns, making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
- Engage with external partners, media, and stakeholders to amplify Postman's voice in the industry.
- Stay updated with the latest communication trends and best practices, ensuring that Postman remains at the forefront of innovative communication.
About You:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field from an accredited university.
- Proven experience in a senior communication role, preferably in the tech industry.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an innate ability to craft and convey compelling narratives.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading high-performing communication teams.
- Proficient in using various communication tools and platforms, both traditional and digital.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and adapt communication strategies to cater to a global audience.
- A strategic thinker with a creative mindset, always looking for innovative ways to drive engagement and brand presence.
- Familiarity with the API ecosystem or the tech industry will be an added advantage.

What Else?
This role is based in the greater San Francisco Bay area, and the reasonably estimated salary can be requested at any time. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition to our pay-on-performance philosophy, we offer a comprehensive set of benefits, including full medical coverage, flexible PTO, wellness reimbursement, and a monthly lunch stipend. Salaries will vary outside of the listed metropolitan areas & the U.S.
